South Ribble’s Living Well Guide….an absolute must-read
CALLING all residents and businesses in South Ribble: South Ribble Dementia Action Alliance has developed a digital ‘Living Well Guide’. If you or a loved one cares for someone living with Dementia, it’s an absolute must-read.
It is jam-packed full of useful information and contacts to help those living with dementia along with their carers, friends and families to continue doing the things they enjoy. This includes guidance on where to find out about local activities, general information about Dementia and some of the things that can be done to prepare for later life such as a Lasting Power of Attorney and other legal and financial matters.
The guide will be added to over time, with more information as well as the members of the South Ribble Dementia Charter, which is about getting local businesses on board to recognise their role in supporting a Dementia Friendly community where people living with dementia can remain confident and active.
Anna-Marie Knipe, Chair of the South Ribble Dementia Action Alliance, says: “The Living Well Guide is extremely useful for anyone living with, or knows someone living with dementia. Alongside this, we are encouraging everyone to become ‘Dementia Friends’ and sign up to the Dementia Friendly Charter.”
The South Ribble Dementia Action Alliance (SRDAA) comprises individuals and organisations that are committed to transforming the quality of life for people living with dementia in South Ribble. They also look to support the many people caring for friends or relatives that have dementia.
