LEYLAND Festival is going global once again with ‘World Books’ as the theme for the 2018 parade.
Saturday 16th June is the date with lots going on throughout the day from 11am into the evening, in the town centre and in the award-winning Worden Park.
The much-anticipated annual event starts with the traditional lively and entertaining parade throughout Leyland Town Centre, featuring businesses and local community floats – look out for the World Books – marching bands, dancing troupes and heritage vehicles. Then it’s onto the park for a fun filled day of family entertainment, shows, live music food and much more!
Last year our town welcomed over 13,000 people onto the park and this year organisers hope the spectacular gathering will be even bigger and better.
A fun-packed programme in the park will include: Car Show, Paws in The Park Dog Show, Children's Arts and Entertainment Area, Painting Demonstrations by Leyland Artists Group, Sports Area, live performances, walkabout entertainment, fairground, food court, workshops – and much more!
With, hopefully, something for everyone and the widest choice of activities, it’s a perfect family day out. Follow the Leyland Festival Facebook page for regular updates.
